Job summary

ITAC Solutions in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to shape AI-powered search experiences, building scalable Python services and React UI components.

You will design cloud-native solutions on GCP, deploy with Kubernetes, and enhance vector search capabilities, collaborating with architects and ML engineers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend or full stack engineering experience.
• Strong Python and React/modern frontend framework expertise.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on GCP, AWS, or Azure. GCP highly preferred.
• Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with search platforms, vector databases, or AI/LLM technologies (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, Algolia, Etc.).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and mature CI/CD practices.
• Experience working with monorepo environments.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable Python services, APIs, and AI-powered search pipelines.
• Develop React-based user interfaces and reusable components.
• Design cloud-native solutions using GCP and Kubernetes.
• Enhance Elasticsearch and vector search capabilities.
• Implement CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure automation.
• Partner with architects and ML engineers on technical solutions.
• Mentor developers and participate in design and code reviews.
