Job summary

ITAC Solutions seeks a Google Cloud / Java – AI Software Engineer for an onsite role in Birmingham, AL. Direct hire with a compensation range of $130,000–$140,000. You will lead Java microservices, embed AI capabilities, and shape cloud-native architectures across the quote-to-invoice lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD and DevSecOps, and collaborate with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and QA leaders to deploy responsible AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Java microservices and cloud-native patterns.
• Proven ability to integrate AI/ML or generative AI into production systems.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps practices.
• Security governance and responsible AI considerations.
• Ability to influence architecture and mentor engineers.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Java microservices on Google Cloud.
• Drive AI/ML and generative AI capabilities in sales apps.
• Collaborate with data teams to operationalize AI in production systems.
• Guide API, event-driven design, and distributed systems architecture.
• Mentor developers on cloud-native patterns and AI integration.
• Enforce CI/CD and DevSecOps best practices.
• Define standards for responsible AI adoption across the domain.
