Job summary

MyEdSpace, a UK-based education technology platform, is seeking senior software engineers to help scale our multi-stack architecture and frontend React interfaces. The role focuses on end-to-end feature development, performance, and long-term maintainability in a production environment.

You will work across Java, Node.js, React, and PHP systems, using AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining strong engineering judgement.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack engineering experience with backend Java/Node.js and React + TypeScript.
• Experience with AI-augmented engineering and critical evaluation of AI-generated code.
• Experience across Java, Node, React, and PHP in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building end-to-end product features across backend services and our React frontend.
• Building well-structured, testable backend services and clean, reusable frontend components.
• Contributing to a multi-stack production environment, improving existing systems thoughtfully while helping evolve the overall architecture.
• Modeling domains, defining boundaries, and contributing to architectural decisions that keep the system coherent as it scales.
• Using AI tools to accelerate development — while reviewing, validating, and refining generated code before it reaches production.
• Owning work beyond feature delivery: CI/CD, observability, performance, and production behaviour.
• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions with a focus on clarity, trade-offs, and engineering judgement.
• Improving reliability, security, and operational robustness as the platform grows.
• Raising the engineering bar through thoughtful feedback, pragmatic decisions, and steady improvement rather than dramatic rewrites.
