Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer (Django + React Native / Expo)

Location: Remote (UK timezone, 4 hours +/- overlap required)

Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle development of core features using Django on the backend and React Native with Expo on the frontend.
• Build secure, scalable, and modular systems for financial products.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ship features quickly.
• Make architectural decisions balancing performance, maintainability, and security.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and review pull requests.
• Operate effectively in a high-expectation, low-oversight environment.

Must-Have Skills:

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong experience with Django (including DRF, Celery, PostgreSQL).
• Solid experience with React Native, especially Expo-managed workflows.
• Proficient with RESTful APIs, authentication, and state management on mobile.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment.
• Understanding of data models, performance optimization, and system design.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver results without supervision.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in fintech or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of financial data APIs (GoCardless, Plaid, TrueLayer, Stripe).
• Experience with Firebase, background jobs, or push notifications.
• Knowledge of secure coding and data protection standards (GDPR, PCI).
