Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer (Django + React Native / Expo)

Location: Remote (UK timezone, 4 hours +/- overlap required)

Responsibilities include:

• Developing core features using Django and React Native with Expo.
• Building secure, scalable, and modular financial systems.
• Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Making architectural decisions balancing performance, security, and maintainability.
• Writing clean, testable, well-documented code and reviewing pull requests.
• Operating effectively in a high-expectation, low-oversight environment.

Must-Have Skills:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Django (DRF, Celery, PostgreSQL).
• Solid experience with React Native and Expo-managed workflows.
• Proficient with RESTful APIs, authentication, and mobile state management.
• Familiar with CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices.
• Understanding of data models, performance optimization, and system design.
• Ability to work with urgency and autonomy.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in fintech or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of financial data APIs (GoCardless, Plaid, TrueLayer, Stripe).
