Job summary

Sector Global Limited in Clevedon, North Somerset, is seeking an experienced full-stack developer to help shape Eventware, our event technology platform.

You will develop and enhance the Eventware platform using PHP, Laravel and Vue.js, design secure, scalable web applications, and implement APIs and integrations while collaborating with product and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience developing applications with PHP.
• Strong production experience with Laravel.
• Experience developing front-end applications using Vue.js.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and relational database design.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs, including RESTful services.
• Experience with Git, code reviews and software testing.
• Understanding of secure software development practices (OWASP).
• Experience with Docker and cloud-hosted applications.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues.

We're looking for an experienced full-stack developer to helpshape the future of Eventware, our event technology platform.

At Sector Global, we develop technology that connects people,creates opportunities and helps deliver successful events aroundthe world. Our platform is used by leading international eventorganisers, exhibitors and attendees.

You'll play an important role in developing and improving Eventware,building new functionality, solving technical challenges andhelping us deliver secure, high-performance software.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takesownership of their work and wants to influence how productsare developed, not simply implement specifications.

• Develop and enhance our Eventware platform using PHP,Laravel and Vue.js.
• Design and build secure, scalable and high-performanceweb applications.
• Develop and maintain APIs, third-party integrations andsupporting services.

• Take ownership of technical solutions, from understandingrequirements and evaluating approaches through toimplementation and deployment.

• Make effective use of AI-assisted development tools tomu improve productivity while maintaining high standardsof security and code quality.

We're looking for an experienced developer with strong technicalskills, an analytical approach to problem-solving and theconfidence to make informed technical decisions.

• At least 5 years' commercial experience developingapplications with PHP.
• Strong production experience with Laravel.
• Experience developing front-end applications using Vue.js.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, relational database designand query optimisation.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs, particularlyRESTful services.
• Experience with Git, code reviews and software testing.
• Understanding of secure software development practices,including OWASP principles.
• Experience with Docker and cloud-hosted applications.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, or awillingness to adopt them as part of your development workflow.
• Good communication skills and the ability to workcollaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• AWS services, particularly containerised deploymentsusing ECS or Fargate.
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Integrating SOAP and XML-based services.
• Web accessibility and responsive application design.
• Experience developing SaaS platforms or applicationsserving large numbers of users.
