Job summary

Exact It Resources Ltd is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a fintech client in a Northern Ireland-based, primarily remote role. The ideal candidate will excel in TypeScript, React and Node.js and can deliver full-stack features from user stories through to release.

You will collaborate with Product Managers and Designers, build platform integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, CSV/SFTP and OAuth, and ensure data protection and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional back-end experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building production integrations with third-party REST APIs.
• Experience building production CSV and file-based ingestion pipelines.
• Knowledge of data protection practices and handling sensitive data.
• Understanding of asynchronous processing and failure handling in distributed systems.
• Excellent communication, documentation and willingness to share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build features across the full stack in TypeScript, React and Node.js from a well-defined user story through to a working, tested release.

• Build and maintain integrations with platforms alongside the wider engineering team.

Senior Full Stack Engineer (TypeScript, React, Node.js)

Northern Ireland based (Must have the right to work within the UK)

Primary remote working model

£60K-75K

Our growing client are a rapidly growing fintech. This is a new permanent role for Senior Full Stack Engineer.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will entail:

Product engineering

• Build features across the full stack in TypeScript, React and Node.js, from a well-defined user story through to a working, tested release.
• Work with the Product Manager and Product Designers to understand problem context, constraints and acceptance criteria before starting work, and flag ambiguity rather than filling gaps with assumptions.

Integration development

• Build and maintain integrations with platforms working alongside the wider engineering team.
• Work hands-on with REST APIs, webhooks, file-based integrations (CSV, SFTP) and OAuth-based authentication.

Quality, reliability & operations

• Work with QA to verify that what was built matches what was asked for before anything is called done.
• Use MongoDB comfortably as a data store fit

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

• 5+ years' professional Back End experience, with deep, recent expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong, hands-on knowledge of GCP
• Proven, hands-on experience building production integrations with third-party APIs, including REST APIs.
• Experience of building production CSV and file-based ingestion pipelines
• Strong knowledge of data protection practices and experience building software that handles sensitive data in line with them.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous processing and failure handling in distributed systems.
• Experience of MongoDB or similar.
• Excellent communication, documentation and a willingness to share knowledge.
