Job summary

TESCO UK is seeking a passionate Frontend / Web Software Engineer to build scalable frontend systems with a customer-first mindset. You will work with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node, delivering high-quality code with modern CI/CD practices.

You will join a collaborative team, own components end-to-end, and contribute to performance, accessibility and maintainability improvements across the frontend stack.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience as a Frontend Software Developer
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Experience with modern frontend tooling and CI/CD practices

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable frontend systems using React/TypeScript
• Profile and optimise code for performance and maintainability
• Refactor code to improve readability and architecture
• Translate requirements into tasks and deliver high-quality code
• Collaborate with product stakeholders and drive improvements
• Support production systems and perform root cause analysis
• Mentor others and share knowledge with the team
