Job summary
James Chase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team building and evolving a major consumer-facing web platform. You’ll work hands-on with React, Next.js and TypeScript, shaping architecture and engineering standards while delivering scalable, high-quality experiences across markets.
You will collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering and contribute to automated testing, CI/CD and performance improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with Storybook and component-driven development.
- Experience with Node.js, APIs and integrations.
- Experience with automated testing (Cypress, Playwright, Jest or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD and modern deployment practices.
- Experience with Headless CMS platforms.
- Experience building large-scale, customer-facing web applications.
- Senior Individual Contributor capable of influencing architecture and engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Building modern web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
- Creating reusable components and contributing to Storybook/design systems.
- Working with APIs, integrations and shared platform services.
- Improving performance, accessibility and SEO.
- Contributing to automated testing, CI/CD and reliable releases.
- Helping shape engineering standards as the team grows.
