Job summary

Zopa is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to shape our web platform. You will build high-performance applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript, influence architecture and drive best practices across teams in London and beyond.

You will own frontend design, contribute to SEO, Core Web Vitals and tooling, mentor engineers, and partner with Product, Design and Marketing to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Hybrid working 2–3 days in London office, with optional abroad days.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building modern web apps using React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Deep knowledge of frontend architecture and reusable component libraries.
• Experience delivering measurable improvements in performance and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve customer-facing and internal web apps using Next.js, React, TypeScript and GraphQL.
• Shape frontend platform by driving architecture decisions and reusable components.
• Partner with Product, Design, Marketing and Backend teams to deliver accessible, high-performing experiences.
• Champion technical SEO, Core Web Vitals and performance optimization.
• Improve reliability via observability, CI/CD and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and guidance.
