Job summary

Synthesia Limited, a London-based AI video platform, is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer for the Website team. You will own the component library, content model and rendering stack behind synthesia.io, shaping direction and making key technical decisions.

You’ll work end-to-end, from schema to production, ensuring responsive, accessible, and on-brand pages at scale for millions of visitors.

Qualifications

• Five years of software engineering experience, with at least three at senior level, building front end for content-driven or marketing platforms.
• Real ownership of a content model in Sanity.; GROQ and Portable Text familiarity.
• Ability to own end-to-end work from schema to component to route including SSR/serverless/edge runtimes and CI.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility and web performance; WCAG 2.2 AA ready.
• Interest in marketing-site measurement, data-driven decisions, and collaboration to raise quality.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale and evolve the section library: Astro components, Sanity schemas and design tokens for consistent, accessible marketing pages.
• Own the content model; design schemas that resist misuse so pages are correct by construction.
• Translate Figma specs to production: responsive, accessible, and on-brand components.
• Extend the platform for AI-assisted development, enabling design-spec to section generation.
• Maintain SEO integrity: canonicals, sitemaps, structured data, redirects and smooth launches.
• Raise engineering standards across the website with robust reviews, patterns and tests.
• Manage localization across nine locales and a translation pipeline for global reach.
• Shape the website platform direction over 6–12 months and drive adoption among editors.
