Job summary

Understanding Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a fast-growing fintech to hire a Senior Frontend Engineer. You will shape the customer experience as the platform expands across global payments, accounts and card products, leveraging React and TypeScript to deliver secure, scalable interfaces.

You’ll own frontend architecture, collaborate with product, design and backend teams, and drive performance, accessibility and testing.

Senior Frontend Engineer | React & TypeScript

Remote | London office available

I’m partnering with a fast-growing fintech building a stablecoin-native alternative to traditional business banking.

With fresh funding secured and customer demand accelerating, they’re hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to shape the customer experience as they expand across global payments, accounts and card products.

Job Responsibilities

• Build customer-facing applications using React and TypeScript.
• Turn complex financial workflows into intuitive, accessible interfaces.
• Guide frontend architecture, technical decisions and engineering standards.
• Work closely with product, design and backend engineers to deliver complete features.
• Improve performance, testing and developer tooling, while supporting other engineers.

Skills/Experience Required

• Strong commercial experience with React, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience owning frontend applications, including architecture, state management and API integration.
• A good understanding of design systems, reusable components and automated testing.
• Practical fluency with AI coding tools and agentic development workflows.
• The confidence to provide technical direction while remaining hands-on.
• Experience working in a startup or an environment requiring autonomy and adaptability.
