Job summary

Stockford Recruitment is partnering with an innovative FinTech to hire a Frontend Developer in Central London. The role is hybrid—3 days onsite—and focuses on building customer-facing applications with React and TypeScript while modernising platforms.

You will help define frontend architecture and work with AI-assisted coding tools to boost efficiency. Reporting to the Lead Frontend Engineer, you’ll own development tasks, collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, and contribute to product

Qualifications

• 3+ years of frontend development experience.
• Strong React and TypeScript skills.
• Experience building customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience integrating REST APIs.
• Some backend exposure (Node.js) or willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and strong problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern, responsive applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop reusable UI components and intuitive customer-facing interfaces.
• Contribute to new product development and existing platform improvements.
• Integrate REST APIs and support backend development where required.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to support development efficiency.
• 3+ years' commercial development experience.
• Experience with REST APIs and frontend application architecture.
• Some backend exposure, ideally Node.js, or willingness to develop these skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Working with globally recognised technology and financial services organisations, the business is expanding its engineering team and seeking a Frontend Developer to help build new customer-facing applications and modernise existing platforms.

Working alongside the Lead Frontend Engineer, you'll have genuine ownership of development work and contribute to frontend architecture, product development and engineering best practices.
