Job summary

Xist4 IT Limited. seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to build production web apps using React and TypeScript, focusing on real-time messaging, collaborative editing and AI-enabled workflows.

You will own frontend architecture, deliver complex interfaces, and work across product, design, backend and AI teams from prototype to production, with a fully remote UK-based setup.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building complex production web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Experience coding major applications, enterprise platforms or similarly substantial interactive products.
• Deep knowledge of frontend architecture, state management, browser APIs and performance.
• Experience building products involving chat, collaboration, document editing, calendars, workspaces or similarly complex interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with WebSockets, streaming APIs or real-time interfaces.
• Evidence of independently owning frontend features from technical design through to production.

Senior Frontend Engineer | React, TypeScript, real-time product interfaces

£70,000 to £100,000. Permanent.

UK-wide.

Fully remote.

You open a feature and it is not another dashboard or standard web form. It is messaging, rich-text editing, scheduling or collaborative work, with AI responding and acting inside the product.

You are still the person writing the frontend code that makes those interactions work.

Our client is building AI-native productivity applications designed around everyday tasks such as communicating, writing, organising and planning.

The frontend is a major part of the product. You will build core web experiences across chat, notes, calendars, documents and spreadsheets, taking complex interfaces from technical design through to production.

Useful:

You do not need every box. Next.js, Node.js, REST APIs and GraphQL would all be useful.

Could This Be You

You may currently be a Senior Frontend Engineer, React Engineer or Web Frontend Engineer. What matters is that your recent work has involved substantial interactive applications and that you are still coding day to day.

If most of your recent work has moved into architecture or leadership, or has centred on marketing sites, dashboards and straightforward CRUD interfaces, this will not be the right fit.
