About the role

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer experienced with ReactJS. As part of a small but growing development team, you will have a substantial impact on the frontend's direction, including architecture, hosting, and performance.

Your tasks may include building smart multi-step forms in React, evaluating hosting options like self-hosting a NextJS app, and troubleshooting UI bugs across various browsers and devices.

While the role focuses on frontend development, familiarity with C# .NET backend systems is advantageous, as integration and bug fixing may require backend knowledge. Willingness to learn or refresh C# skills is encouraged.

What you will bring

You are an experienced React developer with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a long-term perspective on code quality and system architecture.

Essential skills include:

• Proficiency with React; experience with NextJS and hosting on Vercel is a plus.
• Knowledge of React libraries and ecosystem, including UI libraries and React compiler quirks.
• Experience building modern UI with HTML, CSS, and SASS.
• Experience across all stages of the development lifecycle, from building and deploying apps to setting up monitoring.

Desirable skills include:

• Experience with C# .NET, especially API debugging.
• Experience with DevOps processes like CI/CD on Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Vercel.
• Familiarity with Docker, especially for NextJS apps.
• Knowledge of Supabase or willingness to learn.

Additional Information

Salary is negotiable based on experience and skills. The role is open only to candidates with existing work rights in New Zealand.
