Job summary

SJP in London (Hybrid) is seeking a Portfolio Solutions Manager to originate, design and present bespoke investment solutions for high-net-worth individuals, charities and endowments. You will combine deep technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver high-conviction portfolios and compelling client communications.

As a senior member of the Investment Directorate, you’ll contribute to a scalable bespoke proposition aligned with SJP's philosophy, engaging with advisers and clients across

Qualifications

• Experience in client-facing front-office investment roles.
• Track record in supporting or leading investment pitches and proposals.
• Experience with HNW, UHNW, charities or endowments.
• Deep understanding of markets, asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management.
• Extensive experience constructing or analysing multi-asset portfolios.
• Able to balance technical detail with commercial context for client outcomes.
• Knowledge of capital market assumptions and optimisation in portfolio design.
• Acts as a technical reference point for advisers on complex portfolios.
• Confident engaging with clients, advisers and senior stakeholders.
• Familiar with Bloomberg or equivalent systems and Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom investment proposals to support advisers in winning mandates and retaining key clients.
• Act as a trusted technical partner in client meetings and pitches.
• Translate complex investment concepts into clear client narratives.
• Construct and oversee multi-asset portfolios across tax wrappers.
• Design innovative, tailored portfolios for diverse client objectives (income, growth, preservation).
• Identify opportunities to differentiate SJP's proposition for charities and endowments.
• Contribute to innovative portfolio design, structuring and reporting.
