Job summary

Oxford Knight in London is seeking experienced engineers to join the Data Science & Technology team, building cloud-native, real-time analytics and backtesting engines for energy trading and infrastructure assets.

You will partner with traders and analysts to design and deploy high-performance Python services and APIs, and create reusable tooling to support front-office trading and risk management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in any programming language (Python highly beneficial).
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Exposure to AWS & Snowflake technologies.
• Experience building or working on back testing engines and systematic trading.
• Experience in energy or commodities trading.

This is an energy trading and infrastructure asset investment firm, powered by deep fundamental research and advanced analytics. Now looking for experienced engineers in any programming language to join the Data Science & Technology team in London.

This team is pivotal in giving the firm a competitive edge, and this role offers the opportunity to build solutions that have a direct commercial impact from day one. Solving complex, high-impact challenges using a modern technology stack, everything is developed in cloud-native infrastructure from real-time analytics to backtesting engines, to third party integrations and internal libraries. A few examples of what you’ll do:
