Job summary

Clear Street in London is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to help build our flagship Clear Street Studio, a modern prime brokerage experience. You will tackle non-trivial problems that force you to balance trade-offs while implementing clean and efficient solutions.

You will raise our bar on delivering solutions that delight and offer the best experience for our customers, and you will push our operational standards to ensure we can offer and maintain a high SLA.

Qualifications

• At least six years building scalable web apps with React and TypeScript.
• Experience shaping front-end architecture for large apps.
• Ability to mentor engineers and define engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex, user-facing features for Clear Street Studio.
• Drive system-design for new front-end services balancing scale and performance.
• Set engineering standards across the Studio Core team (architecture, testing, tooling).
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Collaborate with product/design/back-end to shape roadmaps and plans.
• Own operational excellence, reliability, and high SLA for domains.
• Explain system design nuances clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
