IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer in Oxford to join the Quantum Tools software team.

You will design, develop and support web‑based tools for scientific research and hardware integration, enabling quantum scientists and engineers to advance research and development goals. You will shape best‑in‑class UX/UI and work across teams to deliver end‑to‑end features, while contributing to a fast‑moving, highly technical environment that advances IonQ’s mission to build and operate

Qualifications

• Experience in front-end development with Typescript, HTML and CSS.
• Proficiency in React and modern web frameworks.
• Ability to design and implement data‑dense, interactive UIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-based tools for scientific research and hardware integration.
• Design best-in-class UX/UI across IonQ’s tooling platforms.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and cross‑functional teams.
• Implement testing discipline and ensure robust software delivery.
• Contribute end-to-end features from concept to production.
