Job summary

Oxford Ionics, now part of IonQ, is pioneering the next generation of quantum computing and building tools for scientists and engineers. We are hiring a Senior Front-End Engineer to design, develop and support web based tooling for research and hardware integration.

You will work with TypeScript, HTML, CSS and React to create information-dense dashboards, streaming data interfaces and interactive charts, while upholding strong UX/UI standards and accessibility across the platform.

Qualifications

• Experience with front-end development using TypeScript, HTML, CSS and React.
• Experience building interfaces around streaming data with frequent updates.
• Experience building interactive charts with large datasets.
• Ability to diagnose rendering bottlenecks and optimize updates.
• Strong UX/UI sense for information-dense operator tools, accessibility and keyboard workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop scientific software and web tooling for IonQ teams.
• Adhere to testing discipline.
• Gather requirements from cross-functional users.
• Design and implement web-based tooling.
• Collaborate with the wider quantum tools and software team.
