Job summary

TXP is seeking a Senior Front End Developer (React) to join our growing delivery teams in the West Midlands. This permanent, UK-based role offers hybrid working and a chance to work on complex, modern applications at scale with high-quality, accessible interfaces.

You will be hands-on across the full SDLC, taking ownership of technical delivery, and mentoring junior developers while collaborating with QA and back-end engineers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with React.
• Experience with Remix and React Router.
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement.
• Experience using REST APIs.
• Hands-on testing with Playwright.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

Senior Front End Developer (React)

TXP is expanding its front‑end engineering capability and is looking for an experienced Senior Front End Developer to join our growing delivery teams.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, modern applications at scale, using contemporary front‑end technologies within a collaborative, Agile environment. You’ll play a key role in building high‑quality, performant and accessible user interfaces while helping to maintain strong engineering standards across the team.

As a Senior Front End Developer, you’ll be hands‑on across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to design, development, testing and deployment of React‑based applications.

You’ll take ownership of technical delivery, support best practice, and work closely with other developers, testers and stakeholders to deliver robust, high‑quality solutions.

As a Senior Front End Developer, you will embody these values in your leadership, decision‑making, and client interactions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing and maintaining front‑end applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Working across the full SDLC: design, coding, testing, defect resolution and deployment
• Ensuring work meets agreed quality, functionality and delivery timelines
• Participating fully in Agile, sprint‑based delivery, including planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives
• Building user interfaces that consume and integrate REST APIs
• Applying best practice around code quality, performance, accessibility and progressive enhancement
• Supporting and mentoring junior developers and contractors where appropriate
• Collaborating with back‑end engineers and QA to deliver well‑rounded solutions
• Contributing to shared standards, patterns and continuous improvement across the team

What We’re Looking For

Essential experience:

• Strong commercial experience with React
• Experience with modern JS frameworks including Remix and React Router
• In‑depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of server‑side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement
• Experience using the MUI React component library
• Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end testing, ideally using Playwright
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
• A good understanding of software design, implementation and deployment principles

Desirable exposure:

• Accessibility and performance standards
• Cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Technical architecture conceptsAI / LLM tooling
