Job summary

Argus is seeking a Senior Reporter/Deputy Editor to join the Freight team in London and cover tanker, dry bulk and gas freight markets. You will report on price movements, market news and provide analytical weekly pieces while expanding industry contacts and attending events.

You will edit reporters, guide the team, streamline editorial processes and contribute to presentations for clients and conferences. A strong degree and news-writing ability are essential.

Qualifications

Proven ability to develop, source and write industry-relevant news to deadline.
Experience with data to support market analysis.
Strong knowledge of commodity markets, especially freight, is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess markets to produce daily and weekly price assessments, market commentaries, news and reports.
Curate data and maintain data series; create graphs/charts in Excel to illustrate trends.
Develop understanding of commodity markets and collaborate with other Argus teams on joint content.
