Job summary

Skipton Building Society is recruiting a Senior Specialist to join the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team. You will help turn data into insight, supporting planning, stress testing and forecasting, while communicating complex information clearly.

You will contribute to the 5-year plan, consolidate forecasts and collaborate across Finance. A professional accounting qualification and FP&A experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly interpret and explain the impact of complex accounting matters.
• Excellent planning, analytical and modelling capabilities to understand and challenge complex models.
• Proactive, enthusiastic self-starter delivering excellent outcomes and service.
• Subject matter expert in FP&A and technical accounting with commercial understanding.
• Knowledge of QRM, Databricks and/or Power BI would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce the Society’s key planning and stress testing outputs using an agile approach.
• Contribute to bottom-up modelling (QRM) for stress testing, forecasting and regulatory requirements with key stakeholders.
• Assist in consolidating Group forecasts and the 5-year Corporate Plan.
• Identify balance sheet or strategic vulnerabilities and propose improvements/solutions.
• Deliver governance documentation used for outputs.
