Job summary

Skipton Building Society is recruiting a Senior Specialist to join the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team in Skipton. You will turn data into insight to support business performance and strategy, collaborating with financial partners and executives.

You’ll contribute to bottom-up modelling, stress testing, forecasting and the 5-year Corporate Plan, helping identify vulnerabilities and proposing improvements, while delivering governance documentation and clear insights for decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly interpret and explain complex accounting matters.
• Excellent planning, analytical and modelling skills for understanding and challenging models.
• Proactive, enthusiastic self-starter delivering excellent outcomes and service.
• Subject matter expert in Financial Planning and Analysis with accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Group FP&A in preparing and producing core planning outputs using an agile approach.
• Contribute to bottom-up modelling (QRM) of stress testing, forecasting and regulatory needs.
• Assist consolidation of Group forecasts and the 5-year Corporate Plan.
• Identify balance sheet or strategic vulnerabilities and propose improvements.
• Deliver governance documentation for outputs.
