Job summary

We Do Group are supporting an international business to recruit an Interim Head of FP&A during a period of development and transformation. The role will own the annual Budget, monthly management reporting and the Outlook with cash flow forecasting.

The successful candidate will drive improvements to reporting, KPIs, governance, and processes while delivering the core FP&A cycle and partnering with senior leaders across geographies.

Qualifications

• Significant senior-level FP&A or Commercial Finance experience.
• Previous experience operating as a Head of FP&A or senior FP&A leader.
• Strong track record of owning annual budgeting across a complex business.
• Excellent forecasting, cash flow and financial modelling experience.
• Strong management reporting experience with simplified, decision-focused outputs.
• Staffing and stakeholder management to influence senior leaders.
• Pragmatic and hands-on – focus on delivery.
• Advanced Excel; FP&A systems and BI tools advantageous.
• Qualified accountant or equivalent finance qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the annual Budget process, including timetable, assumptions, templates, consolidation, challenge and governance.
• Partner with senior leaders to develop credible, driver-based financial plans.
• Produce the monthly management reporting to an agreed timetable.
• Own the monthly P&L Outlook and cash flow forecasting.
• Improve forecast accuracy through stronger variance analysis, challenge and feedback.
• Build a sustainable rolling forecast process with clearer visibility of expected performance.
• Simplify the existing management reporting framework and remove low-value reporting.
• Improve KPI quality, definitions, variance analysis and commentary.
• Develop clearer FP&A processes, governance, ownership and ways of working.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and standardise FP&A activity.
• Collaborate across Finance, technology and the wider business to improve data quality and reporting.
• Create a clear roadmap of improvements and ensure a clean handover at assignment end.
