Job summary

Marks Sattin is recruiting an Interim Head of Group FP&A for a leading SaaS-based technology managed services business in the UK. The role sits on the senior finance leadership team and partners closely with the CFO and Executive Team to influence planning, performance and strategic decision-making.

The candidate will lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, own Group financial modelling, and drive commercial insights across revenue, margins and profitability to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with senior FP&A experience
• Strong financial modelling across budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
• Experience in technology, SaaS or recurring-revenue businesses preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning for the Group
• Partner with CFO and Exec Team providing insight and analysis
• Own Group financial modelling, scenario analysis and forecasting accuracy
• Lead Board reporting with clear, commercially focused MI
• Drive revenue, margin and profitability analyses for performance uplift
• Develop FP&A processes, reporting and KPIs across the Group
• Develop and lead the FP&A team and deputise for CFO when required

A leading SaaS based technology managed services business is seeking an Interim Head of Group FP&A to join its senior finance leadership team. The business is undergoing significant transformation, with a growing focus on recurring revenue, profitability and commercially driven decision-making.

This is a high-profile role partnering closely with the CFO and Executive Team, with significant influence over Group planning, performance and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

As the Head of Group FP&A, you will be:

• Leading the Group FP&A function across budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.
• Partnering with the CFO and Executive Team, providing insight, challenge and analysis to drive business performance.
• Owning Group financial modelling, scenario analysis and forecasting, improving the accuracy and predictability of financial performance.
• Leading Board reporting and developing clear, commercially focused management information.
• Driving deeper analysis of revenue, margins and profitability, identifying opportunities for performance improvement.
• Developing and improving FP&A processes, reporting and KPIs across the Group.
• Leading and developing the FP&A team while acting as a senior finance leader and deputising for the CFO when required.

Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant senior-level FP&A experience.
• An exceptional financial modeller with strong experience across budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and scenario analysis.
• Commercially astute, ideally with experience in technology, managed services, telecommunications, SaaS or recurring-revenue businesses.
• A confident senior stakeholder and Board-level communicator, able to provide clear insight and constructive challenge.
• An experienced people leader who is analytical, curious and comfortable driving change and improving existing ways of working.
