Job summary

Adecco are recruiting a Senior FP&A Analyst to join the Thames Valley Police Force in Kidlington on a temporary, full-time basis. Hybrid working, 37 hours per week, and an hourly rate of £33.62.

The role covers budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial modelling with dashboards and KPI development. You will lead analyses, support the budgeting cycle, coach junior analysts, and present insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant or QBE with significant FP&A experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, modelling and performance analysis.
• Advanced Excel including complex modelling and scenario analysis.
• Strong communication to senior stakeholders and ability to present insights.
• Analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Experience in process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills to influence decisions.
• Ability to coach and develop junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed financial analysis of business performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes ensuring alignment with objectives.
• Support annual budget-setting, coordinating submissions and challenging assumptions.
• Produce high-quality management information, reporting packs and dashboards with commentary.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models for business cases and initiatives.
• Lead development of KPIs and operational metrics to understand performance.
• Identify and drive continuous improvements across FP&A processes.
• Coach and support junior analysts and promote best practices in stakeholder engagement.
