Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join the Thames Valley Police Force in Kidlington on a temporary hybrid basis. The role pays an hourly rate of £33.62 and involves leading financial planning, reporting, and forecasting activities 37 hours per week.

The position requires qualified accounting credentials and strong Excel modelling, with responsibility for driving performance insights and coaching junior analysts. The role is UK-resident and subject to vetting.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with FP&A, business partnering, or management accounting experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analysis.
• Advanced Excel with complex modelling and scenario analysis.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to identify improvements and automation opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting processes with accuracy and alignment to objectives.
• Support annual budget-setting, coordinating submissions and challenging assumptions.
• Produce high-quality management information, reporting packs and dashboards with commentary.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models for business cases and initiatives.
• Lead KPI and operational metric development to enhance performance insights.
• Coach and support junior analysts and promote best practices in analysis.
