Job summary

Grid Dynamics is seeking a Senior Forward Deployment Engineer to join an internal enablement practice embedded within a Tier 1 global investment bank. You will deploy directly into application teams to reduce release friction, modernize pipelines, and elevate engineering standards across mission-critical systems.

You will lead initiatives in test automation, CI/CD, and secure coding practices, while containerizing apps and upgrading dependencies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) across multiple test frameworks.
• Ability to select and drive automated testing strategies with AI support.
• Proficiency in JVM languages and/or TypeScript.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code with good taste.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices for critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Engage with development teams to enable rapid, safe releases and improve vulnerability handling.
• Build and maintain test suites and data provisioning, including data masking.
• Upgrade runtimes and containerize applications where feasible.
• Implement and improve continuous delivery pipelines and automated database changes (Liquibase).
• Introduce standard observability patterns and robust logging/security patterns.
