Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly qualified Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist to provide highly specialist assessment and therapy for male clients in custody, based on evidence-based practice. The post involves governance of psychological practice and supervision of other psychologists, with potential to contribute to doctoral training and research.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or equivalent).
• Must have DClinPsy, DCounsPsy or qualification in forensic psychology.
• HCPC registration as a Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and review of health-related psychological provision across care settings.
• Audit, policy and service development and research activities.
• Offer training, consultation and clinical supervision to staff and services.
• Contribute to doctoral training programmes including teaching and supervision.
• Support strategic developments within the client service area and work with custodial services.
