Job summary

Thorn Baker Facilities Management is recruiting a Head of Service in Walton-on-Thames to own the wider support function beyond the helpdesk. You will manage a team of around 10, cover helpdesk, fleet, IT and operational support, and ensure smooth collaboration with engineers and clients.

The role is office-based, Monday to Friday with one day from home, starting in December. It offers a £50,000-£55,000 salary and scope to impact processes and service delivery within a growing FM business.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an FM helpdesk, service desk or similar support function.
• Strong background within Facilities Management.
• Good understanding of engineers, maintenance and the day-to-day FM operation.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing a team of around 10 across multiple support functions.
• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the FM helpdesk.
• Ensuring reactive and planned maintenance requests are logged, allocated and progressed.
• Supporting engineers and operational teams with information and resources needed.
