Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a Senior FM Engineer to lead technical management of building fabric and engineering assets across its estate. You will drive maintenance programmes, provide expert M&E advice and ensure safety, compliance and value for money in a large public sector portfolio.

Qualifikationen

• Experience managing building fabric, mechanical and electrical assets.
• Proven ability to procure, manage and monitor contractors.
• Knowledge of health and safety and statutory maintenance requirements.
• Ability to analyse technical information and develop practical solutions.
• Experience in budget management and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Aufgaben

• Lead planning, procurement and delivery of maintenance programmes.
• Provide expert advice on M&E and building fabric matters.
• Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety and quality.
• Oversee contractors and consultants, monitor performance and value for money.
• Support long-term asset management and investment strategies.
• Identify and mitigate building-related risks and ensure compliance.
• Contribute to sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Facilities Management and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support budget planning and provide technical information for investment decisions.
• Maintain accurate records and asset information for governance.
