Job summary

An engineering consultancy is seeking a Flood Risk Drainage Engineer to join its expanding team in Perth, Scotland. This role involves preparing Flood Risk Assessments, undertaking Hydrological Assessments, and assisting with hydraulic flood modelling. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with 3 to 5 years of industry experience. Strong knowledge of relevant software and excellent communication skills are essential. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across various sectors.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the engineering industry.
• Graduate member of a relevant professional body (e.g. ICE, CIWEM).
• Knowledge of general Civil Engineering, including roads and level design.
• Understanding of relevant legislation, policy, and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
• Undertake Hydrological Assessments to determine watercourse flows.
• Assist with hydraulic flood modelling for flood risk studies.
• Prepare drainage impact assessments.
• Conduct site visits and survey supervision.
