Job summary

AZTRUM is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer for their Aberdeen team. The role offers work across Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Stirling, with opportunities to lead flood risk projects for residential, commercial and industrial schemes.

You will work on flood risk assessments, SuDS design, drainage strategies using Infodrainage or Causeway Flow, and support junior team members in a fast-paced consultancy environment. A strong engineering degree is essential and client liaison is required.

Qualifications

• Strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with UK-based consultancy delivering flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and design.
• Experience with Infodrainage, Causeway or AutoCAD.
• Able to liaise with clients and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3.
• Produce flood risk mapping using ArcGIS.
• Design drainage, attenuation and SuDS.
• Coordinate with clients and progress projects.

My Client, a market leading multidisciplinary Consultancy with offices based across the UK, is searching for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen. You can work from Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Stirling!!

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an innovative team who specialise in flood risk, drainage and infrastructure engineering for both public and private sector clients. With a wide portfolio of projects you will have the chance to design flood risk and drainage solutions for Residential, Commercial, Retail, Industrial and Distilleries across the region for both public and private sector clients.

As a Senior Drainage Engineer you will be required to complete varied technical work including;

• Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3.
• Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.
• SuDS Strategies.
• Drainage, attenuation and SuDS design using infodrainage and causeway flow.
• Earthworks design.
• Design of sustainable drainage solutions for residential (bespoke housing), commercial, and industrial/factory projects.
• Client meetings to discuss project progress.
• Support team members with designs.
