Motion is seeking a Principal/Senior Engineer to join its expert consultancy team in Guildford. You will lead development-focused engineering projects, plan and deliver schemes, and apply your technical expertise to produce high-quality drainage and flood risk solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in flood risk assessments and drainage strategy development.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and drainage software.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and delivery of development-focused engineering projects.
• Conducting Flood Risk Assessments and developing Drainage Strategies.
• Applying AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, and other engineering software to design and analyse infrastructure solutions.
• Managing projects efficiently, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders to develop innovative, practical solutions.
• Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to clients, planning authorities, and other key parties.
