Thames Valley Police invites applications for a senior Fleet Manager to provide visible leadership across the Chiltern Transport Consortium fleet and workshops, supporting five forces in a high-demand environment. You will drive workshop performance and delivery through managers.

This role focuses on availability, efficiency, compliance and value for money, using data and analysis to inform vehicle selection and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience leading operational teams and managers.
• Confident in holding others to account for performance and standards, while developing people.
• Understands workshops and technical services and their role in availability.
• Moves organisations from reactive to planned, proactive delivery using data insights.
• Comfortable working across multiple locations, stakeholders and priorities.
• Strong judgment, credibility and resilience in a demanding setting.

Responsabilités

• Provide visible, effective leadership across workshops and fleet support functions.
• Lead and hold managers to account for workshop performance, productivity and compliance.
• Drive a proactive approach to fleet management, improving planning and availability.
• Ensure consistent service delivery across sites, balancing demand and value for money.
• Use data and performance insight to inform fleet decisions and service improvements.
• Lead managers through change and performance challenges, building capability.
• Manage fleet procurement, commissioning, lifecycle planning and supplier performance.
• Support budget management, forecasting and reporting for value for money.
• Represent CTC with member forces, suppliers and external partners at forums.
