Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking an exceptional Fleet Workshop Manager to lead its Midlands Super Hub maintenance facility. You will oversee a 16-bay, 24-hour operation, driving safety, compliance and performance across a large team and a substantial budget.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to shape standards and ways of working, delivering reliable vehicle availability and continuous improvement across the network.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in a large-scale HGV/trailer workshop.
• Advanced technical qualification (IMI Level 3 or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle compliance, road transport legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Experience managing substantial budgets, resources and performance.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams through change and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, legally compliant 16-bay, 24-hour workshop operation.
• Deliver maintenance services across a complex operation while maximizing vehicle availability.
• Manage a budget of around £10 million and drive cost efficiency.
• Provide visible leadership to ~60 colleagues and coach performance.
• Lead ISO 9001 quality standards implementation and continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and trade unions to sustain performance.
