Job summary

FM Conway is recruiting a Business Unit Fleet & Plant Manager to lead our fleet, plant, transport and logistics operations across the business. The role sits on the Senior Management Team and focuses on safe, efficient and well-supported operations while developing people and assets.

You'll combine strong technical knowledge with collaborative leadership, build relationships across FM Conway and industry groups, and drive continuous improvements in asset utilisation, procurement and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet, plant, transport or logistics operations.
• Holds a valid CPC for Transport Managers and a full UK driving licence.
• Budgeting experience and comfort using data to drive decisions.
• Leadership style that fosters collaboration and staff development.
• Desirable: NEBOSH or IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet, plant, transport and logistics operations across FM Conway.
• Ensure teams have resources and support to operate safely and efficiently while building relationships internally and with industry groups.
• Ensure compliance with Operator Licence, DVSA, FORS, Drivers' Hours, MOT, LOLER and PUWER.
• Oversee maintenance, asset utilisation, budgeting and procurement for fleet and plant.
• Utilise telematics and fleet management systems to improve efficiency and safety.
