Port of London Authority is seeking a Marine Engineering Superintendent based at Denton Wharf, Gravesend. The role leads the planning, design, and supervision of maintenance, refits and safety compliance for the PLA fleet and plant, afloat and shore based.

You will deputise for the Head of Marine Engineering, provide technical guidance, manage projects, and develop training alongside the engineering management team at PLA.

Formación

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a degree in electro/mechanical engineering.
• Experience in marine engineering or project management within the marine industry at senior level.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and coordinate planned maintenance and defect rectification for the PLA fleet and systems.
• Investigate defects, identify root causes and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Develop refit specifications and coordinate shipyard tenders and contracts.
• Oversee vessel refit projects and procurement of PLA supplied items.
