Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an Asset Accountant in the UK to drive fixed asset and project/capital accounting within the Global Accounting Operations team.

The role covers depreciation, asset creation, transfers, impairments, retirements, project capitalization, and comprehensive fixed asset reporting, with close collaboration across Finance. Experience with SAP and Clarity, plus budgeting/forecasting support, is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience with hands-on fixed asset accounting.
• Experience in depreciation, asset creation and transfers, impairments and retirements.
• Knowledge of project capitalization and fixed asset reporting.
• Month-end close experience and collaboration with FP&A/Finance teams.
• Pharma/scientific industry background is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage depreciation, asset creation and transfers, impairments and retirements.
• Oversee project capitalization and capital-work reconciliation.
• Produce fixed asset reporting and support month-end close processes.
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and other Finance teams.
• Utilise SAP and Clarity to support budgeting/forecasting activities.
