Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an Asset Accountant in the UK to drive fixed asset and project/capital accounting within the Global Accounting Operations team.

The role covers depreciation, asset creation, transfers, impairments, retirements, project capitalization, and comprehensive fixed asset reporting, with close collaboration across Finance. Experience with SAP and Clarity, plus budgeting/forecasting support, is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience with hands-on fixed asset accounting.
• Experience in depreciation, asset creation and transfers, impairments and retirements.
• Knowledge of project capitalization and fixed asset reporting.
• Month-end close experience and collaboration with FP&A/Finance teams.
• Pharma/scientific industry background is advantageous but not mandatory.

This is an Asset Accountant position within the Global Accounting Operations team.

The main focus is fixed asset accounting and project/capital accounting.

You would be responsible for areas such as depreciation, asset creation and transfers, impairments and retirements, project capitalization, capital-work reconciliation, fixed asset reporting and month-end close.

The role also involves working with SAP and Clarity, supporting budgeting/forecasting activities and collaborating with Finance Business Partners and other Finance teams.

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, ideally with strong hands-on fixed asset accounting experience.

A pharmaceutical/scientific industry background would be advantageous but isn't stated as mandatory.
