Torus Group is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant (Fixed Assets) to join our Finance team in Liverpool. You will lead the group’s fixed asset registers, oversee depreciation, acquisitions and disposals, and support statutory reporting and financial statements for subsidiaries and JVs.

The role requires a part-qualified finalist or fully qualified qualification (ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with extensive fixed asset experience.

• Part-qualified finalist or fully qualified accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of standards and best practice.
• Significant fixed asset accounting experience and management of complex asset portfolios.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and high-quality financial reporting.
• Experience in large and complex organisations.
• Ability to develop and improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
• Knowledge of housing property accounting, component accounting, joint ventures or group structures (advantageous).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide financial insight and advice to stakeholders.
• Experience within a governance and compliance framework with risk and controls.
• Excellent communication skills and relationships across business and external partners.
• Proactive, adaptable approach with continuous improvement focus.
• Strong IT skills and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Mansioni

• Lead the accounting and management of the Group's property and fixed asset registers, ensuring robust financial records.
• Oversee capital accounting activities including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, component accounting and grant accounting.
• Produce timely management accounting information to support capital investment activities.
• Contribute to the preparation of Group Financial Statements and year-end statutory reporting.
• Prepare statutory accounts and disclosures for subsidiaries and JVs.
• Lead accounting and reporting requirements for the Group's JVs and partnerships.
• Maintain reconciliations and schedules ensuring strong financial controls across capital activities.
• Provide information to Homes England and other regulators with accuracy.
• Ensure assets, subsidiaries and JVs are accounted for in line with standards and policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, auditors and advisers to deliver high-quality reporting.
• Provide financial insight and support to colleagues across the business.
• Support continuous improvement of systems, processes and controls for efficiency and value.
