Our client is a leading design, engineering, and manufacturing company specializing in the medical industry based in Ashford, Kent. Due to increased demand, they are looking for an experienced Senior Electronics/Firmware Engineer to join their team.

Duties:

• Support R&D project work.
• Take responsibility for the electronics and firmware design of products from concept through to production, considering requirements, timescales, costs, and regulatory constraints.
• Embedded programming experience in ‘C’, VHDL.
• C++, .NET, C#, Java, Python, or algorithm development is an advantage.
• Experience within a Design or R&D department.
• Knowledge of CAD for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Cando attitude, inquisitive, willing to take on necessary tasks for the project.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, good presentation skills.
• Ability to take on other system elements within a project such as thermals, optics, etc., is an advantage.
• Experience in the medical industry is an advantage.
• Hands-on, self-motivated, willing to learn and help evolve the R&D department.
