Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Technical Service Manager, Fire Systems to lead the technical development, compliance and delivery of fire protection system solutions. This role collaborates with engineering, sales and project teams to ensure designs meet standards and client requirements.

You will act as the subject matter expert, overseeing regulatory compliance, hydraulic calculations, system layouts and product development, while mentoring teams and supporting bids and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Fire Engineering.
• Extensive experience in fire protection systems (sprinklers, pumps, hydrants, suppression).
• Proven technical leadership or senior engineering experience.
• Knowledge of BS EN, LPCB, FM, NFPA standards.
• Experience in manufacturing, building services, or fire protection industries.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead technical authority on fire protection systems.
• Review and approve system designs, calculations and documentation.
• Provide technical input during tendering, design, and project execution.
• Support commissioning and handover processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, sales and delivery.
• Engage with clients and regulatory bodies as the technical contact.
