Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking a Senior Fire & Security Engineer for projects across the Manchester area, focusing on Fire Alarm, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems. You will install, service and commission, taking ownership of sites from start to finish.

The role rewards independence, customer-facing responsibility and a clear path for long-term progression within an established Fire & Security business. A valid UK driving licence and commissioning experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Fire & Security industry.
• Experience with Fire Alarm and Security systems.
• Commissioning experience is highly desirable.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
• UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing and maintaining a range of Fire & Security systems.
• Commissioning and handing over systems to customers.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
• Working across Fire Alarm, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems.
• Taking ownership of jobs from installation through to completion.
• Liaising directly with customers and site contacts.
• Completing service reports, commissioning documentation and relevant paperwork.
• Supporting junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge where required.

Up to £45,000 + Overtime + Benefits

We're looking for someone with a strong background across Fire & Security, ideally with solid commissioning experience, who can work independently, deal confidently with customers and take ownership of their work.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience within the Fire & Security industry.
• Proven experience with Fire Alarm and Security systems.
• Commissioning experience is highly desirable.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.Experience across multiple disciplines would be advantageous.
• Relevant qualifications such as FIA, BAFE, ECS or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Someone confident working independently and directly with customers.
• An engineer who takes genuine pride in the quality of their work.
