SUEZ UK is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to lead fire risk management across our UK operations. You will ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, regulatory standards, permits and licences, while driving practical solutions that reduce risk and safeguard people and assets.

The role requires extensive fire risk assessment experience, knowledge of relevant standards, and the ability to engage with authorities and project teams.

Qualificações

• Experience carrying out fire risk assessments in high-hazard or construction settings.
• In-depth knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulations.
• Familiar with WASTE 28 documentation and related standards.
• Proven ability to identify fire hazards and implement mitigations.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake complex fire risk assessments for Energy from Waste and mechanical treatment plants.
• Provide expert guidance on fire safety legislation and regulations.
• Review fire system designs and projects for compliance and best practice.
• Identify and address fire safety gaps and develop robust improvement plans.
• Support investigations of fire incidents or near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain fire safety policies, evacuation plans, and emergency arrangements.
• Produce retrospective fire strategies and design fire strategies for new buildings via design reviews.
• Engage with process engineering teams to embed fire safety in complex processes.
• Design and deliver fire safety training programmes.
• Liaise with enforcing authorities, fire services, and certification bodies.
