Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

My client designs and delivers fire services to commercial and domestic clients. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.

The Fire & Security Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar, ideally in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferred
• 3D CAD Design Experience in the fire industry
• Mechanical / electrical Installation experience beneficial
• Hands-on, practical engineer
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Mentor to junior/graduate engineers
• Full UK driving licence

The Fire & Security Engineer role will involve:

• Servicing, installation, and maintenance of fire and security systems
• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
• Working within a small team to deliver quality service to customers
• Traveling to and from customer sites (~2 hours per day)
• Occasional travel within the UK, e.g., Scotland or Wales
