Role: Senior Fire Engineer
Location: Leicester/Wakefield
Salary: £65,000-£75,000 (Or more for the right person)

We are currently working with a leading consultancy firm specializing in façade engineering who pride themselves on delivering innovative and comprehensive solutions for the construction industry. They are a team of experienced professionals who collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure the highest standards of design and safety.
Right now, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join their team, either in their Leicester or Wakefield offices. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the fire safety of projects, from initial design through to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement fire safety strategies for various construction projects.
• Analyse and ensure designs meet current codes of practice, providing bespoke solutions to unique fire engineering challenges.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and provide recommendations for fire safety improvements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate fire safety measures into building designs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety regulations and standards.
• Provide expert advice on fire safety issues to clients and project teams.
• Lead and mentor junior fire engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Fire Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in a consulting environment.
• In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, MIFireE) is highly desirable.
