Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Control & Development Officer to maintain and develop the Council's key financial, HR, Payroll and Pensions systems. You will deliver technical 2nd line support, develop system enhancements and work with project teams on upgrades and audits.

You will join a specialist finance team, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose, with ongoing improvements and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• You will have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of business applications and systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop and enhance the Council's critical financial systems across Finance, HR, Payroll and Pensions.
• Provide expert 2nd line support and deliver system improvements with clear specifications.
• Collaborate with colleagues and project teams to manage upgrades, testing and change processes.
