Job summary

Randstad Perm Professionals is seeking a skilled finance professional for a Sheffield-based role with two days in the office. You will produce statutory and interim accounts for the Group and subsidiaries, ensuring accurate reconciliation of investment loan records and proper IFRS 9 classifications.

You will also implement new IFRS requirements, document accounting policies, and liaise with tax advisors for annual estimates and HMRC submissions.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting background in financial services or banking.
• Current understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience producing complex consolidated financial statements.
• Good understanding of UK corporation tax.
• Desirable: knowledge of government financial accounting.

Responsibilities

• Produce statutory and interim accounts for the Group and subsidiaries.
• Maintain investment loan records and reconcile to ledgers.
• Ensure correct IFRS 9 classification for financial assets and liabilities.
• Implement new IFRS requirements and update policies as needed.
• Document accounting policies and update them for changes.
• Provide BIST with journals and supporting evidence.
• Manage upload of statutory data into the BIST EPM system.
• Liaise with Group tax advisors for annual estimates and HMRC submissions.
• Identify and deliver changes strengthening controls and continuous improvement.
• Support development and maintenance of internal controls, treasury and tax policies.
